ABOUT
The St. Louis King of France Catholic Church Development Council is a laity-led council of St. Louis parishioners. It was created to ensure continuity and sustainability to provide for church needs. The work of the council is supported by the pastor and his staff but it is intended to continue with changes in pastoral leadership and priest re-assignments.
The Development Council is creating stewardship programs and new channels for shepherding the time, talent, and treasure of the parish for future generations. The success of these programs will depend upon you – the talented and giving St. Louis parishioner.

The Council is comprises a Chairperson, currently Andy Dimas, who facilitates the work of six subcommittees. Each subcommittee focuses on a specific area of need and their current chairs are listed below.

STEWARDSHIP
The Stewardship Subcommittee guides the overall implementation of a culture of stewardship by creating and promoting time, talent, and treasure opportunities for parishioners. Part of the mission of St. Louis is to “steward His generosity” and this committee provides ways for our parish to fulfill this mission.

The Planned Giving Subcommittee is responsible for helping our parishioners be aware and educated about advanced planned giving strategies and unique acts of gift-giving and stewardship. This includes end-of-life planning such as wills, estates, and financial retirement strategies.

The Major Gifts Subcommittee supports any previous or upcoming campaign efforts of significant gifts, encourages new gifts to the campaign, and provides opportunities for renewing gifts from completed pledges.
Major Gifts Committee Chair: VACANTMEMORIAL
The Memorial Subcommittee arranges opportunities for parishioners, family members, and friends to honor loved ones through special prayers, memorials, events, publications, and projects. It is part of our Catholic tradition to pray for the deceased and this committee provides
different ways to remember our loved ones.
Memorial Committee Chair: Melissa FieldsSCHOOL DEVELOPMENT
The School Development Subcommittee is a liaison between the Church Development Council and the School Development Program and works with the School Board and HSA. In addition to working with School Development on projects, the subcommittee ensures that school and church development coordinate activities.

The PR/Donor Relations Subcommittee is responsible for donor education, thanks and recognition programs, and telling the story and the “good news” that encourages gift-giving.

If you are 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift (up to $105,000 in 2024) to St. Louis Catholic Church. You’ll see the difference your gift makes today. You also won’t pay income taxes on the gift because the transfer doesn’t generate taxable income or a tax deduction. As a bonus, if you’re required to take minimum distributions, your gift can satisfy all or part of your obligation.
