- Why Initiation?
  The story of the masculine heart is both general and specific. It is general in the sense that we are all humans, we all come from Adam, we all have the same defaults for joy and for brokenness. We all live in America, and are subject to its culture.
  
  It is specific in the sense that each of our stories have made us who we are. Each of our joys and delights have sent us in particular directions. Each of our wounds have created safeguards that close us off from growth and from future hurt.
  
  All of these, both general and specific, make us into who we are.
  
  But understanding God‘s design for the masculine heart offers the true North, the direction we all desire to go. There are themes that follow every man. Some of which we know, and some of which we have been prevented from understanding. During our time together, we will unravel these, and paint a whole picture of what God the Father intended when he intended you.
  
  We will also go into God‘s greatest work of initiating us into men, and guiding us to initiate our boys, which is our soul vocation as fathers. The future of our faith and our masculinity depends on it.
