Welcome to St. Louis Catholic School Library! Our mission is to enrich students' education by promoting information literacy, curiosity, and virtues such as diligence and empathy.
The St. Jerome Library and Media Center, once the original church building at the heart of our campus, underwent renovation in Spring 2020. It currently houses over 15,000 books including exanasive children's and adult religios collections, and a state-of-the-art Makerspace Lab. This versatile space serves not only for class visits but also for school events.
Aligned with the grade-level curriculum, our library program reinforces classroom concepts. During weekly visits, students explore fitting books and engage in lessons covering literacy, digital citizenship, research skills, and more. Students are also able to check out books in-between class visits as needed.
The library serves as a gateway to lifelong reading. Throughout the year, we host events such as author visits, book fairs, and poetry festivals. Our dedicated library staff and volunteers provide support across the campus. Our library's collection complements the school's curriculum with a diverse array of carefully curated materials. Our objectives include fostering curiosity, enhancing reading and research skills, cultivating critical thinking, and facilitating access to literature and information.
We sponsor multiple reading incentive programs, encouraging students to explore books from award sets like Gallery (Grades 1-3), and Lectio (Grades 4-8).
