St. Louis Catholic School integrates technology in the classroom to develop technologically literate graduates. Our approach includes a 1:1 device program with that enhances personalized learning from kindergarten to 8th grade. Teachers in kindergarten through grade 2 utilize iPads for instructional extension and testing. Chromebooks are utilized in grades 3-8 and the incorporation of Google Classroom and Google Education suite of resources begins as early as fourth grade.
We view technology as a tool for knowledge sharing, creativity, communication, collaboration, research, critical thinking and problem-solving. Students will access diverse web-based tools to enhance learning. Active filtering and monitoring by the school's internet fitering system, GoGuardian, allows administration to actively monitor student activity while on the school network and devices.
The Technology and Internet Acceptable Use Policy employed by the school promotes digital citizenship and guidelines for appropriate standards of coduct while operating in the digital environment.
