St. Louis Women's clubIn 1977 the St. Louis Women’s Club began service to the parish. The original goal of the Women’s Club was to attract and engage the participation of as many women in the parish as possible, offering a wide variety of committee choices where they could volunteer their time to meet for fellowship and plan for various events in the parish. Much has changed since 1977, but the St. Louis Women’s Club remains committed to the original goal of service.
You can see the St. Louis Women’s Club doing these things and more:
- Hosting receptions for new and departing priests and seminarians’ ordinations.
- Supporting our diocesan seminarian education by selling Clerical Endowment Fund cards
- Embroidering Baptismal stoles for newly baptized infants
- Organizing and hosting Turkey Bingo in the fall.
- Sponsoring a monthly book club meeting
- Clean the church brass three (3) times a year
In the 2022-23 year, we were able to:- Give eleven scholarships of $100 to graduating senior altar servers at their final Mass in thanksgiving for their many years of service to our parish.
- Support our priests, seminarians. and religious with a monetary gift at Christmas.
- Purchase a new crucifix for the day chapel, the new censer used at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, and new altar server vestments.
- Send more youth to the Steubenville conference.
